Crime Stoppers of El Paso Donates Backpacks to Area Students
August 09, 2021
Crime Stoppers of El Paso donated backpacks filled with school supplies throughout the city last week and ended today at Hawkins Elementary, where officers from EPPD visited with students.
Over 90 bags were donated to Myrtle Cooper, Del Norte Heights, Gonzalo and Sofia Elementary Schools, and the El Paso Center for Children.
Our special thanks go out to the counselors from each school and the Community Officers from the Westside, Mission Valley, and Central Regional Command Centers for helping make this possible.
The program hopes to continue this next year on a more ambitious level with the help of Shiloh Baptist Church who has already started collecting supplies for next year.

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month
February 05, 2020
February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. About one in three teens in the U.S. will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse in their relationships before they reach adulthood, and two-thirds of them never tell anyone about what is happening to them.
#1thing you can do if you suspect your child or a teen you know is in an unhealthy relationship is be prepared and educate yourself on dating abuse, and what a healthy relationship is.
For more information and resources on teen dating violence, visit www.loveisrespect.org.
Crime Stoppers of El Paso is also a resource for reporting domestic or teen dating violence anonymously. Call 915-566-8477 (TIPS).
