Search Continues For Suspects in Westside Shooting August 22, 2022
A man was shot at a traffic light on El Paso’s westside. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department asks for help finding the individuals involved in this shooting through the Crime of the Week.
On Sunday, August 7, 2022, a 24-year-old man drove on the 1000 block of Sunland Park Drive near I-10. A black sedan pulled up next to the victim at a traffic light. The passenger in the sedan pulled out a handgun and fired it at the victim. The victim’s injuries were non-life threatening. Investigators found security cameras that recorded the suspect’s vehicle.
The vehicle is a black, 4-door BMW 5-Series and is believed to be around a 2008 model. Investigators know that someone has information on those involved.

Tips Sought To Identify Hit & Run Driver August 16, 2022
A man was critically injured by a hit-and-run driver on El Paso’s eastside. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department asks for help finding the driver involved through the Crime of the Week.
On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, a 64-year-old man crossed the 3400 block of McLean from the east curb to the west curb. As the victim approached the west curb, a vehicle traveling south struck the man and fled. Investigators located security video that captured the suspected vehicle. Based on the security footage, the suspect vehicle is a dark-colored sedan, and fled the scene westbound on Edgemere. The 64-year-old man was critically injured in the incident and remains hospitalized. Investigators are certain that someone has information on the driver responsible.

On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, a security video captured a man walking upstairs to the second floor of the Days Inn at 10635 Gateway West.
Moments later, the same man drives off in an S.U.V. and fires a handgun once at a motel room on the second floor. The suspect then drives around a second time and fires multiple times in the same room. The suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored 2006 to 2010 Ford Explorer. The suspect appears to be a White or Hispanic male with long hair and wears glasses.

On Saturday, July 23, 2022, a large house party took place at home on the 14100 block of Honey Point. At 2:20 A.M., shots were fired at the party, and at least four people were injured. On Friday, July 1, 2022, at 4:05 A.M., three men arrived at the Green House Smoke Shop at 607 Giles. The men broke the glass front door to the business and went inside. In a matter of two minutes, the suspects took $8,650 in merchandise. The trio left and returned at 4:25 A.M., to steal additional merchandise. Security cameras recorded the suspects and investigators know someone knows who these burglars are. The suspects may have been in a white SUV or truck similar to a Ford Explorer.

On Thursday, June 2, 2022, El Paso Police responded to a robbery at the Family Dollar store located at 5018 Alameda. The officers learned from witnesses that just before 9:40 P.M., the suspect walked into the store and approached the counter. The suspect demanded money from the store and the store employee believed the suspect was armed. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. According to witnesses, the suspect ran eastbound on Alameda. The man is in his late 20’s or early 30’s, has a dark complexion, is thin, and is approximately 5’10” in height.

Sheriff’s Detectives Search For Leads In Murder Case June 06, 2022
A man was murdered almost one year ago in a desert area in East El Paso County. Crime Stoppers of El Paso, and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in finding the killers through the Crime of The Week.
In the early morning of Sunday, July 11, 2021, at 3:18 A.M., a shooting was reported at 1300 Joe Battle at the Socorro Student Activities Complex. Sheriff's Deputies found five people shot in a desert area behind the complex. Four of the victims were taken to area hospitals, and the fifth victim, 21-year-old Cruz Eli Arredondo died at the scene. Detectives assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and took charge of the investigation.

On the night of Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 11:27 P.M., the suspect is captured on security cameras breaking the front glass window of the Kohl’s Department store located at 1319 George Dieter at the las Palmas Market Place. As the man enters the store he goes to the jewelry section, pulls out a handgun, and uses it to break the display cases. The suspect takes $18,000 in jewelry and caused an estimated $1,000 in damages to the store.
The suspect is described as White or Hispanic, has a heavy build, and has a distinct limp as he walks. On the day of the burglary, he was wearing a light-colored baseball cap, a black facemask, a dark pullover sweater, blue denim jeans, and white athletic shoes. The suspect fled the scene in a Hyundai Sonata.

On the night of Saturday, March 5, 2022, a 26-year-old man was crossing Mesa at the 3200 block near Gregory. The man had crossed the northbound lanes of traffic and was crossing the southbound lanes when a car struck him. The driver fled the scene southbound on Mesa. The 26-year-old man was taken to the hospital by Fire-Medical personnel but died shortly after arrival.
The vehicle is a silver-colored 4-door car. Investigators from the El Police Department’s Special Traffic Investigations recovered a photo of the vehicle involved in this crash.

On the morning of Monday, February 21, 2022, an unidentified man walked into the Circle K store located at 2101 Wedgewood. The man approached the counter and threatened the clerk with a handgun. The man demanded money from the business and boxes of cigars. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and three boxes of White Owl brand cigars.
The suspect fled the scene north on Wedgewood towards the Eastridge Park Apartment complex. The suspect is 5’7” in height, has a thin build, has a medium or tan skin complexion, and has thin eyes.

Man With Knife Steals Radio-Controlled Truck February 18, 2022

On the afternoon of Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 4:25 P.M., the unidentified suspect walked into Hal’s Hobby Warehouse located at 1440 Bessemer. The suspect grabbed an orange and black Traxxas Slash XL-5 4x4 radio-controlled truck and exited the store. Two employees of the store went outside and confronted the man. The suspect pulled out a knife and lunged towards the employees. The suspect waved down an accomplice who was waiting in a car. The suspect was picked up by a blue Nissan Altima or Sentra, with green license plates, possibly from New Mexico. The suspects fled southbound on Common Drive towards Pellicano. No injuries were reported in this armed robbery.
The suspect is a white male, brown eyes, tall, approximately 6-feet, has a thin build, and has a tattoo on his right arm. On the day of the robbery, he was wearing a brown-colored ski mask or balaclava, a black jacket, and black sweat pants.

On the morning of Monday, January 17, 2022, at 3:58 A.M., two men walked into the Circle K convenience store located at 4101 N. Piedras. One of the men walked into the business office and stole a pack of Eagle 20’s brand cigarettes. The man exited the office and went into a restroom. Moments later, that same man returned to the office and stole an Apple iPad tablet computer.
Both men left the store and fled the scene in an older model Buick. The suspect that entered the office was wearing a baseball cap with a logo in the center, a black ski mask, a dark jacket, blue jeans, and black and white athletic shoes. The other suspect was wearing a baseball cap, an orange hooded sweatshirt, a light-colored jacket, blue running pants, and black and white athletic shoes. The vehicle is a white, Buick, 4-door car, with black trim, and a missing front driverside hubcap.

When loss prevention employees confronted the man, he pulled out a switchblade and threatened them. The man fled the store in a black scooter and took various electronic items. Search Continues For Hit and Run Driver January 14, 2022
The search continues for the driver involved in a hit and run fatality that took place almost eight months ago on a northeast El Paso highway.

On the early morning of Sunday, May 23rd, 2021, at 2:34 A.M., 24-year-old Sergio Alberto Banda was walking on one of the southbound lanes of US 54 on the third lane of traffic. A car traveling on that lane, struck Banda and fled the scene. Investigators found evidence indicating the vehicle involved is a 2011 to 2019 Grey Nissan Versa. The front left side of the vehicle will have damage including a missing driver’s side mirror. Banda left behind a wife and a 19-month old daughter.

Tips Sought On Hit and Run Driver Who Killed Elderly Woman January 07, 2022
The hit-and-run case of a 92-year-old woman killed in El Paso’s Mission Valley remains open. Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department are asking for help finding the driver involved through the Crime of The Week.
On the afternoon of Sunday, March 7, 2021, 92-year old Petra Zamorano attempted to cross the 8300 block of Alameda from the south curb to the north curb. When Zamorano was crossing, a car traveling west on Alameda struck her. The driver did not stop and fled the scene westbound on Troy towards Yarbrough.
A second car also struck Zamorano, but that driver stopped and remained at the scene. Petra Zamorano died at the scene. According to witnesses, the vehicle involved is a gray or silver Chrysler PT Cruiser or similar type of car.

After the delivery, the driver was getting directions for his next stop, when a man armed with a handgun approached his vehicle. The man opened the victim’s passenger-side door and fired the weapon in the direction of the victim. The victim was not hit and the suspect quickly ran from the scene. Security video captured the possible suspect walking towards the victim’s car. The suspect has a limp while walking and is described as a Hispanic male.

A Handgun Is Stolen In A Spree of Vehicle Burglaries October 22, 2021
EL PASO, TEXAS – A handgun is stolen in a spree of vehicle burglaries in east El Paso. On the early morning of Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 4:42 A.M., a man is seen on security cameras approaching vehicles in a driveway at the 1000 block of Bold Ruler. The man finds an unlocked car door and opens the trunk and steals several items. Security cameras also captured the suspect at the 12200 block of Bronco Buster where he burglarized additional vehicles.
The suspect stole a variety of items including, a laptop, camera, and a handgun. Investigators believe another individual may have been with the suspect.
